Horseback Rides on Playa Ventanilla

You’ll start your three-hour ride by being paired with a horse at Playa Ventanilla’s stables. From there, your guide will lead you on a gentle and scenic path along the coast. On one side, you will see the sparkling Pacific Ocean, its waves lapping at your horse’s legs. On the other side, you will see Oaxaca’s lush tropical plants and rugged seaside cliffs.

Midway through the ride you will have the chance to cool down and wade through Laguna San Isidro with your horse. Afterwards, you’ll begin the ride back to the stables, where you will be treated to a traditional Oaxacan guiso.

 Guisos are similar to stews and are usually made with braised chicken, fish, or beef. They are served with freshly cooked beans and homemade tortillas.

Please note: The ride is three hours long and the meal is another hour. The entire tour, including pick-up and drop-off, if you choose that option, is four and a half hours.
